Horse and carriage to a summer farm

There have always been horses kept at Bockgården. We would like to give you a good horse experience together with our neighbour’s working horses. Horses love to work and it is fun to participate! There are a lot of exciting things you can do with a kind and well trained working horse.

 

With a horse and a carriage, we would like to take you back in time, to the times when people in this part of Sweden moved into the forest in the summertime to find pasture for their cows and other farm animals. This kind of summer camp was called “fäbod”. We will travel the old fashion way through the beautiful forest to Karl Tövåsens fäbod. Finally there, will we meet the farm animals and eat a delicious cheese buffet that was made and prepared at the ‘fäbod’.

 

During the horse tour, you have a possibility to learn more about horses and our landscape together with our charming and good neighbours, who have also passion for the traditional “nordsvensk” horses.

 

Coming back after the eventful tour with the horse, you are going to enjoy the good food from Bockgården.

 

This package includes:

• A welcome drink
• 4 hours horse tour with a local guide, on Saturday
• 2 nights stay at Bockgården
• Bedclothes and towels
• 2 x farm breakfast
• 1 cheese buffet
• 2 x supper
• 1 picnic basket

* The food is vegetarian whereas most of the products are ecological and locally produced.

 

When

This package is offered during weekends in July. Check-in time at Bockgården on Friday after 3 pm and Check-out time is on Sunday before 11 am. The supper is served between 6 pm and 8 pm.

 

Price

The package price for this experience is SEK 3 500 per adult and SEK 2 700 per child between three years and twelve years. Children under three years are free!

 

Bockgården is a small farm. We, therefore, offer only small-scaled and unique package experiences. This package is offered only to you and your company, and we can accommodate maximum 5 people at a time. Minimum 2 people.

 

We encourage you to use public transport. We are willing to come and collect you with a horse and a carriage at the railway station without extra cost, just let us know when you book!

 

It is possible to extend your stay at Bockgården after the end of this package.
